WARRANTY OWNER This limited warranties apply to only original purchaser from the date of purchase. Warranties are non-transferable.
LIMITED LIFETIME RESIDENTIAL FLOORING WARRANTIES These warranties, which begin from the date of purchase, apply to products used in dry residential applications. Lifetime warranties apply for as long as the original purchaser owns and resides in the home where the product was installed and not for resale.
Pre-Installation Warranty: Please note that the onus rests upon owners and installers to inspect all planks before installation and before the planks are cut to size, to ensure that color, quality, workmanship and finish meet with their approval. Please contact the dealer without delay, if you are not satisfied. Make sure all subfloors are leveled before laying down the SPC floorings. Product should be stored in boxes horizontally at all times. Medieval Floors SPC floorings is intended for indoor use only. DO NOT install over any hardwood flooring or wood subfloors that lay directly on concrete, or over plywood used over concrete, carpet of any type, pre-existing vinyl floor, or any floating floor of any type. We recommend putting a 6mil plastics on concrete subfloors before placing any SPC floorings on top. In order to be covered by this limited warranty, Medieval Flooring must be properly installed by a licensed flooring contractor.
Medieval Floors reserves the right to verify and inspect any and all warranty claims prior to decide on the appropriate course of action, and such inspection may require more than one visit to the site. Warranty claims may be investigated and inspected by company personnel and/or NWFA Certified Hardwood Flooring Inspectors at our option. Responsibility for replacement costs of materials will be determined after cause and analysis is made.
Medieval Floors warrants all highest quality SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) made with extrusion machine with 100% virgin materials. Medieval Floors additionally warrants that these SPC flooring will not delaminate when properly installed and maintained. Any damages arising from installations is excluded from this warranty. Damage due to cracking because a heavy item is being drag over is excluded from Medieval Floors Limited Lifetime Warranty. In the event that the planks are defected due to manufacturing, Medieval Floors will, at our option, either: (1) replace the affected plank(s) or (2) refund the purchase price, for the affected area only, prorated over the remaining life of this limited warranty. Gloss Reduction and Scratches in the finish are not considered surface wear and are not covered under this warranty.
10-YEAR LIMITED COMMERCIAL WARRANTY Medieval Floors warrants our SPC flooring to be free from manufacturing defects in commercial spaces for 10 years from the date of purchase.
TERMS If a defect covered by this warranty occurs within the warranty period, Medieval Floors will (1) replace the defective plank(s), or (2) If unable to repair or replace, refund the purchase price of the damaged plank(s). Medieval Floors will not pay or be responsible for any labor costs.
FLOOR CARE AND MAINTENANCE Like any floor covering, our SPC flooring will show some signs of wear over time, depending on the size and lifestyle of your family. The following are examples of the reasonable and necessary maintenance you are expected to perform. These are not intended to be an exclusive list. 1. Sweep and vacuum regularly. Be certain the wheels of the vacuum are clean and do not damage the finish. 2. Dust mop or broom can be used for daily maintenance. When necessary, clean with a moist cloth or mop and a neutral PH cleanser. Heavy use of detergent cleaners will leave a residue and over time lead to a cloudy film. Do not use steam mop. 3. Never use floor polish or floor cleaning wax, oil soaps, etc. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
1. Manufacturing defects in flooring that has been installed when such defects are visible or which reasonably could have been discovered by you or your installer prior to installation; 2. Squeaking, popping, or crackling of floors due to improper installations; 3. Dissatisfaction or any damage arising from improper installations or maintenance or uneven subfloor; 4. Color variances in grain or color found between samples or photographs supplied by dealers or variances in grain or color between samples and flooring received by you; 5. Any color changes to the flooring caused by the development of a unique patina over time; 6. Damage caused by fire, and other natural disasters and/or Acts of God; 7. Damage caused by negligence, accidents, misuse or abuse; 8. Damage caused by appliances, furnitures, and casters; 9. Installing over radiant heat floors using 5mm-6mm SPC floorings; 10. Normal wearing of the finish in high traffic areas; 11. Reduction in gloss, scratches, construction traffic, pets.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY The above warranties are the complete and exclusive statement of Medieval Floors Residential Limited Warranty and 10-Year Limited Commercial Warranty, and are expressly offered in lieu of all other express and/or statutory warranties including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Medieval Floors assumes no liability for incidential or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion of limitations for incidental or consequential damages. In that case these exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you legal rights that vary from state to state. Medieval Floors may replace or reimburse any defective product at its sole discretion. Any attempt to repair, replace, or refinish prior to Medieval Floors optional inspection will void this warranty. No installer, retailer, agent or employee has the authority to alter the terms or coverage of this warranty. In no event shall Medieval Floors be liable or in any manner responsible for any claim loss or damage arising from the purchase, use or inability to use its products or from any form of special, indirect, incidential or consequential damages, including, without limitation, lost profits, emotional, multiple, punitive or exculpatory damages or attorney’s fees, even if Medieval Floors or its representatives have been advised of the possibility of such damages before sale. In no event shall Medieval Floors be obligated to cover the costs of old or new materials other than Medieval Floors brand flooring products. In no event shall Medieval Floors liability exceed the amount Medieval Floors actually received up distribution for the defective materials at issue. Any or all disputes arising out of the Medieval Flooring or this warranty shall be subject to mandatory and binding arbitration in Alameda County, California, Pursuant to the Rules of American Arbitration Association. Any trials by jury are expressly waived.
